This collection of work spans the last nine years and is a chronicle of my decision to follow my lifelong dream of creating art. I remember being six years old, my mother raised Chows. I made a drawing of her favorite dog, Dash. When I was finished, I ran out to the back patio, where my mom was brushing one of the dogs, to show her the finished artwork. "You can call the museum now mom!" I shouted. My poor mother wasn't sure what to say. She tried to explain that the museum was not going to display my drawing, but I was positive that they would. Here I am, decades later, under the same illusions of grandeur, certain that my work is destined to hang in a museum.... Time will tell.

Since my last update I have become a graduate of Sacramento State University, a husband and owner of Old City Art Gallery in Sacramento. My journey as an artist and lover of art continues to inspire me to create. I have introduced installation work to my repertoire. My solo show in the Witt Gallery has just come to a close and my work can now be seen in a show with Kevin Trevedi at Old City. Both shows were very exciting and received press coverage beyond anything I anticipated, including a spot in the "Don't Miss" section for events in the Sacramento News & Review.
Another highlight of this year is the beginning of a career as a guest lecturer. I thank the Sacramento campus of the International Academy of Design & Technology for having me visit earlier this year. I will also be lecturing for another group in early May. This week I was invited to speak and judge at the 2011 Congressional Art Competition.
